A net of approx. 140 km / 87 miles of marked hiking trails can be found around Waldkirchen. Please order a detailed hiking map at the Tourist Information Office. Go hiking along the panoramic walking trail 1 (loop trail) and discover the nature wildlife resort Saußbachklamm (a deep ravine along Saußbach creek) or experience Waldkirchen's surrounding area. You can also make use of GPS-routed roads  in our holiday region. We strongly recommend the garden festival loop trail, see hiking trail 5.

Waldkirchen disposes of two winter hiking trails. You start at the Tourist Information Office, walk toward health resort park in Erlauzwiesel and return via Frischeck, length approx. 8 km / 5 miles. The second trail leads you to "Fischerhäusl" (this term means "small cottage for fishermen" and is also the name of the parking site there) and along a forest road to Stocking, Neidlingerberg and back again to Waldkirchen, length approx. 10 km / 6.2 miles.
